Almost Freeze Free Chicken Water
Here’s links to the items I use to keep our chicken water almost freeze free. Although there might be some ice at the top of our 5 gallon waterer, the whole thing does not freeze solid, allowing at least 2 of our 4 water nipples to work even in single digit temperatures here in Ohio!
bird bath de-icer (there lots of options on Amazon, just make sure to pick one that fill fit in the opening of your container)
bubble insulation (you can add two layers if needed)
